Steffest Digitale Pulptuur

All these little games are programmed "on the move" on a windowsCE PDA, using pocketC.
PocketC is a very cute c-like language from orbworks, that enables you to program on the device itself.

I consider them "Waitware" : they are made during all those "wait"-sessions in life, and perfecty suited to fill in some waiting-time.

All games are freeware: you can use and distribute them freely, as long as you don't change any components and don't ask money for it.

Description
The obligatory implementation of everone's most popular game.
A was astonished to find no decent version of freecell for Windows CE, so I created one myself. (offcourse, every windows CE comes with solitaire, but I like Freecell far better)
Features
  • well .. it's freecell , what features do you expect?
  • It is in full color, however, and includes full source code
Issues
  • No fancy multicard moves due to performance issues (lukily they are not allowed in freecell anyway)
  • No "smart" moves directly to a freecell or the homebase: you have to move all cards yourself
  • No statistics or saving games
Download
For palm PC and Pocket PC:
Freecell.exe   installation program
Freecell.cab   if you want to download it directly to your device and install from there
Freecell_source.zip   Source code and grahics to compile with PocketC

You'll need to PocketC runtime library, so if you don't have them allready, grab them (for free) at Orbworks

Description
Another corny card game, but I find myself playing it over and over again. Like so many others, I found it included in Windows XP, and remade it on windowsCE, building on my Freecell code (so it's a litle more advanced than Freecell)
Features
  • 4 difficulty levels (Very conveniently called Easy, Medium and Hard ...)
  • Smart multicard moves
Quick Rules

The object of Spider is to remove all of the cards from the ten stacks at the top of the window.
To remove cards from the ten stacks at the top of the window, move the cards from one column to another until you line up a suit of cards in order from king to ace. When you line up a complete suit, tap on them, and the cards are removed.

To move a card, tap on the card from one stack and then tap on another stack to move the card.
You can move cards according to these rules:

  • You can move a card from the bottom of a stack to a card with the next highest value, regardless of suit or color.
  • You can move a set of cards all of the same suit, and in order, as if they were one card.
  • You can move a card from the bottom of a stack to an empty stack.

When you are ready to deal a new row of cards, tap a stack of cards in the lower-right corner of the window.
When no more cards are left (except for 8 aces in the bottom left cornerof the windows) You have won the game.

Please note that certainly not all games van be won, so, some luck is involved.

Issues
  • No scoring
  • No statistics or saving games
